Wallet Setup

KalyChain supports any EVM-compatible wallet. The most popular choice is MetaMask.

Already used KalyChain before the relaunch?

KalyChain relaunched on a new chain. The old network (chain ID 3888, ticker KLC) is retired and its RPC no longer responds. You need to add the new network — see Migrating from the old network below.

Adding KalyChain to MetaMask​

The easiest way is to let a KalyChain app do it for you: open KalySwap, the DAO or Vaults and click Add network when prompted. Your wallet will ask you to approve — that is all.

To add it by hand instead, use the details below.

1. Open Network Settings​

Click the network selector at the top of your MetaMask extension and choose "Add Network", then "Add a network manually".

2. Enter Network Details​

  • Network Name: KalyChain KMT
  • New RPC URL: https://mainrpc.kalychain.io/rpc
  • Chain ID: 3890
  • Currency Symbol: KMT
  • Block Explorer URL: https://kalyscan.io
Use exactly this network name

The name above matches what the KalyChain apps create. If you name it something else, you may end up with two entries and not know which one is current.

3. Save​

Click Save. You should now see KMT as the native token and be able to interact with dApps on KalyChain.

Migrating from the old network​

If you used KalyChain before the relaunch, MetaMask still has the old network saved. It will not work — the old RPC has been shut down.

What to do: add the new network using the details above. It appears as a separate entry called KalyChain KMT, so it is easy to tell apart from the old one.

You do not need to delete anything. The old entry is harmless; it simply will not connect. If you want to tidy up, you can remove it from MetaMask's network list once the new one works.

Your funds are safe. Your address does not change, and balances were migrated for you. KLC became KMT at a 110:1 ratio — 110 KLC is 1 KMT. There is nothing to claim and no action to take beyond adding the network.

Nobody will ever ask for your seed phrase

No KalyChain team member will ask for your seed phrase or private key to "migrate" your balance. Migration is automatic. Anyone asking is trying to steal from you.

Using an in-app wallet​

If you sign in to a KalyChain app with an email address or a social account, the app manages the network for you. There is nothing to add and nothing to change.

Is there a testnet?​

Not at the moment. A new public testnet is planned; this page will be updated with its details when it launches. The old testnet (chain ID 3889) and its faucet have been retired.
